emad parandian

9 Miniaturen | echo-rotation

Ever since he picked up the Persian Setar for the first time, Emad’s passion for music and sound became a conscious pursuit. Its melodious capabilities and rhythmic qualities drew him in and soon he began teaching himself how to play. After years of classical eduction, Emad began searching for new perspectives within music and as he discovered electronic music, its vast possibilities impacted greatly on his future approach to music making. He became fascinated with the creation of space within the arrangement and sounds and over the years developed a unique sound between the melancholy of traditional Persian music and a modern minimalistic-abstract rhythm and sound aesthetic. Currently he is studying Sound Art at the University of Arts in Berlin and works on various installation work and electroacoustic pieces. The ability to freeze special moments in time is the driving force behind his work as a musician.
