Keiko is actually not anymore a "clevo kapok", instead it is a Sony PCG-FX403.
 
During a visit in Vienna it was stolen, so i had to buy a new one.

This machine did as well install out the box, even nicer then under Win2K, which i use instead of the WinXP which came with it. All its chips are iNTEL, so using any version of X11 before 4.x.0 wont work.

This is only a short description of my laptop, maybe with some more time i'll add pictures as well. it is a "clevo kapok" 2850 computer with the folowing attributes:

another interesting part of this machine is the modem, it even does refuse to work under winXXXXX.

i'll have S.u.S.E. 7.2 distribution setup on it which installed right out of the box. even a 7.0 version did install proper but lacked of the possibility to run even the boot partition on reiserfs which i feel much safer with. unfortunatly tuning the system into 7.2 (kernel 2.4.4-4GB [extension to handle more ram]) somehow distorted the handling of my quick-cam connected to the parallel port. at the beginning i had also BeOS installed (4.5 and 5.0) but it does not work out well since the beos lacks driver support for all connectivity hardware i own. it also did not work together with the soundchip, so what the heck.
